Business Analyst

Contract Duration: 12 months
Project: Project Team is called Compliance Transformation –Monitoring is the initiative which seeks to implement the newly updated Monitoring Standard. This includes compiling an inventory of monitoring activities to access the current state vs the future state required by the Standard.
- Project is in the design phase; BA will come in and refine requirements ahead of implementation.
- Business Analyst will - refine requirements that currently have, UAT testing to the application, Visio, interacting with different stake holders and so forth.
Responsibilities:
- Business Analyst will work directly with Subject Matter Experts and the program management team, collaborate with internal stakeholders, business users, and technical teams/vendors to drive varying processes and deliverables
- Lead, co-ordinate and manage process design workshops with stakeholders from Compliance and Business teams to accurately capture business requirements and processes to facilitate project delivery
- Prepare required discussion documents for process design workshops, communicate outcome to stakeholders and ensure actions/issues are tracked through to resolution
- Support business requirements gathering process through facilitation of data gathering workshops and subsequent translation into User Stories
- Liaise with stakeholders from Compliance, Business, and IT to clarify business requirements where needed
- Analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps created by new processes and recommend changes accordingly
- Support delivery of all aspects of UAT through planning, execution and closure for the selected solution
- Understand the complexity of the end-to-end program and successfully complete deliverables
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Support projects across the enterprise and business unit
- Provide business analysis and technical expertise for both immediate needs projects and transformation design programs-
- Ensure all activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial Services Industry.
2) 5+ year’s Proven leadership in end-to-end requirement gathering, business process mapping (ability to develop process maps/flows), and UAT testing.
3) 3 years Minimum – Experience implementing a technology tool for a compliance or regulatory monitoring function
4) Demonstrated experience and comfortable working with a high level of ambiguity and managing multiple stakeholders with limited bandwidth – please include examples from resume
5) 5+ Years using JIRA
6) 5+ Years Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) 3+ years of experience in Compliance Monitoring including risk taxonomies as they pertain to compliance risk - preferred
2) Experience using Power BI or Tableau for management reporting
3) Data Management Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Business, IT, or a related field
