Our downtown Oil & Gas Calgary client is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to manage and support Azure and on-premise infrastructure. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 2+ years of Azure of equivalent cloud management experience 
  • 3+ years of Office 365 management experience 
  • 3+ years' automation scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
  • Universify Degree in Computer Sciences or relevant discipline (equivalent experience is acceptable as well) 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technology, infrastructure and process needs at all staff levels 

Responsibilities Overview:
  • Manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure (i.e mobility, software applications, network, phone systems and end-user computers) including system provisioning/decommissioning, break/fix support, proactive health monitoring, and ongoing sizing/cost management
  • Support and develop automations to improve process workflows and system/application integrations.
  • Triage second level escalations from the service desk and solve complex problems independently.
  • Provide leadership through all phases of IT network and infrastructure related projects
  • Develop infrastructure design and costing for business and IT initiatives and provide subject matter expertise for strategy and standards development.
  • Work closely with network, applications, and infrastructure teams to develop, maintain and ensure IT systems are highly available, redundant and provide exceptional performance for employees
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation on critical system infrastructure
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to corporate and field infrastructure
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both our corporate and field employees resolving issues via telephone, email, walk-up and ServiceNow ticketing system.
