Epic Beacon Certified Resource to help UHN with the implementation of EPIC

Description of Deliverables:
UHN just implemented Epic as their Health Information System (HIS). As the project progresses, the project leadership has identified a gap on the Beacon team, requiring temporary help to ensure deadlines continue to be met.

Mandatory Requirement

• Epic certification (current) – Beacon
• Beacon protocol build for SOC and Trials
• Minimum 3, preferred +5 years Epic experience doing hands on protocol build
• Experience in opening and managing tickets in Epic’s ticketing system

​Preferred Candidate:

• Previous Canadian experience 
• Experience in medication ERX build an asset

Responsibilities:

• Work with template information for rapid turnaround of chemotherapy protocol build and validation; both Standard of Care and Trials
• Guide workflow design, build and test the system, and analyze other technical issues associated with the applicable software
• Work as part of a team, assisting other team members with build and other tasks as needed to keep deliverables on schedule
• Perform quality checks on your own work, and collaborate with colleagues on your team for peer-to-peer quality reviews as need
• Work with representatives, UHN's community and end users to ensure the system meets UHN’s needs in regards to the project deliverables and timeline
• Identify and implement requested changes to the system
• Maintain regular communication with vendor representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‐user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones
• Troubleshoot problems and questions

• BMT Carepath and related SmartSet build
• Note template build
• Therapy plan build
