Location Address: 40 King Street W – Hybrid – Going into the office mid-July however, candidate will be expected to work in the office once the whole team goes back (once a week starting September)
Contract Duration: 5 months

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday


Typical Day in Role
- Candidate will be attending daily meetings to understand updates from team members
- Work with the team and third parties to meet business requirements
- Looking into the return to identify changes that have occurred
- Gather sources that are needed to produce a return
- Candidate must be familiar with the expectation of the requirements of the return
- Working with third-party individuals as well as the Finance Technology team that is supporting the automation process
- Prepare and submits a subset of the team’s returns including Geographical Data of Assets and Liabilities (GDAL) and Mortgage Loans Report (E2/ES), ensuring complete, accurate and timely completion in accordance with instructions provided by regulators as well as established procedures and deadlines.
- Review of variances and other unusual items with escalation and explanation to management and regulators, as required.
- Interaction with internal data providers to ensure data meets filing requirements
- Communicating with key stakeholders such as Directors
- Working with GDAL and EGL (Enterprise General Leger) and OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence) as well as Axiom (project automation), SmartView
- Analyzing returns as a whole

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 2-4 years of previous financial industry experience
- Previous experience with regulatory reporting or projects
- Strong ability to work individually and collaboratively
- Basic ability to perform business trends and variance analyses
- Basic knowledge of Accounting principles

Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Previous experience communicating/working with regulators
- IFRS accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data
- Basic knowledge of federal, regulators, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Enterprise General Ledger (EGL), Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), Cognos Data Management (CDM), GDAL and AXIOM.

Degrees or certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Working towards a designation in Accounting or Finance is an asset.

Candidate Review & Selection
- One round with a possibility of a second round
- 45 minutes
- Interview will be with HM Ada as well as her Director
- Video conference on MS Teams
- Standard behavioral knowledge as well as some testing on knowledge relevant to their prior work experience (background, system knowledge)
- HM availability to interview: ASAP
