Our client is looking for a Information Management and Technology Strategy Advisor needed with significant experience in building information management and technology strategies and roadmaps to enable the long-term success of an organization.

Service Requirements

Working collaboratively with the executive team, CIO and IM/IT Leaders, business stakeholders and
project teams, the Information Management and Technology Strategy Advisor services requirements will
specifically include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Provide insights and authoritative advice and recommendations to executive on information management, information technology and associated data strategies to support long term success.
  • Provide insights and authoritative advice and recommendations on transformational activities
  • Develop, in consultation with business leaders and the CIO:
  1. a high-level information management strategy, roadmap and detailed implementation plan that establishes a strong foundation as it continues to move forward
  2. a high-level information technology strategy, roadmap and detailed implementation plan that establishes a strong foundation as it continues to move forward
  3. a high-level data strategy, roadmap and detailed implementation plan that establishes a strong foundation as it moves forward
  • Provide insights and authoritative advice and recommendations on information security/cybersecurity practices to protect  information and associated interactions with its stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership to Phases 2 & 3 of the Core Regulatory Suite project currently underway, particularly on technology issues. This includes vendor contract negotiations associated with the project.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to members of the CIO organization.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • 15+ years of demonstrated senior information management and technology senior leadership experience, including leading IT organizational transformation through significant change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge of the information management/information technology landscape, trends and issues, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic planning, road-mapping and business transformation as the head of an organization’s IT department.
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in executive leadership roles, particularly in information technology leadership and in a public sector or regulatory environment.
  • Experience advising and collaborating with Senior Executives, incorporating information management and technology strategies into broader organization strategic plans, including but not limited to the organization’s data strategy.
  • Experience providing leadership to large IT transformation projects, including leading negotiations or vendor agreements.
  • Experience advising on broader Corporate Services functions strategies and approaches.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people including the ability to relay complex and technical information in a clear and easily understood manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations to executives regarding technology, issues and strategies relating to the business needs and critical success factors for the business.
  • Demonstrated skill in change and resource management.
  • Preference will be given to someone who has financial institution or real estate work experience.
