  • The Group Benefits Business Projects & Solutions team is looking for an experienced, proactive, and energetic Business Analyst with experience in business analysis of projects and programs. This position requires a self-starter with a strong technical aptitude, fearless to learn new systems and has strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure the successful analysis and interpretation of a variety of concurrent business and technology projects within the Group Benefits portfolio.
  • As a Business Analyst, you will work in a client-centric environment playing a key role in delivering excellent service and support for our internal clients. Accountabilities include gathering and defining business needs, reviewing and approving detailed business requirements, identifying and managing risks, executing business acceptance testing, updating system documentation, developing communications/ training and transitioning knowledge to production support.
  • The Business Projects & Solutions team is part of the Canadian Operations group and provides program and project management services, business analysis and support services to the Canadian Operations and Group Benefits organization.

What are the main 3-5 responsibilities of this resource?
  • Fulfill business analyst role on projects supporting the Business Consultant and Project Manager to identify and assess business impacts and risks, solve complex issues, provide recommendations on options, and help define end state of desired changes
  • Engage business partners and SMEs to identify and document business needs
  • Work with business partners to ensure that IT development and implementations are meeting business strategies
  • Execute business acceptance testing including preparation of test plans, execution of test cases, documentation of results and filing of defects
  • Develop and/or provide input into internal and external communications and user documentation
  • Support Project implementation validation and sign-off recommendation

Must Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience within the banking/FI space 
  • Insurance experience
  • Experience performing business acceptance testing including preparation of test plans, execution of test cases, documentation of results and filing of defects

  • The Program centres around the Health and Dental claims space and the specific project relates to the Secure Member Website.
