On behalf of our Government of Canada - Health Portfolio - client, S.i. Systems is searching for an Int Business Analysts to to assist with a complex IM/IT Infrastructure Environment Scan of a Public Health Surveillance program.  Government of Canada reliability security clearance is a must have for this assignment.

Located in Ottawa but performed remotely, this contract shall run from January 2022,(immediate) and last until April 2022, with a very stong chance of renewal/extension.

Job Tasks:
  • Working as a member of a team, the Business Analyst will provide support to a project to describe the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)’s current surveillance IT infrastructure, and identify challenges and opportunities to meeting an ideal state.
  • The Business Analyst will conduct an environmental scan of industry and internal Government of Canada (GoC) IT infrastructure standards and best practices. This will include a review of relevant industry/GoC policies/standards/best practices, and meetings with external and GoC partners to inform the assessment of PHAC’s current state. The Business Analyst will make note of constraints and best practices.
  • The Business Analyst will prepare an interview guide in preparation for meetings with PHAC surveillance system leads and selected public health partners. The Business Analyst will lead interviews with surveillance system leads and relevant partners. The Business Analyst will make note of themes that arise from these meetings.
  • The Business Analyst will contribute to brief reports summarizing each of the above activities, and will participate in the drafting and finalizing of a report summarizing the current state of PHAC’s surveillance IT infrastructure.

Job Deliverables:
  • Brief report summarizing themes from PHAC document review
  • Brief report from environmental scan of industry and GoC IT infrastructure standards and best practices
  • Brief report summarizing themes from interviews with surveillance leads and relevant public health partners
  • Final report, combining the above brief reports to describe the current state of PHAC’s IT infrastructure
