Int. Data Migration Analyst to perform SAP HCM data analysis to manage source to target data mapping - 17661
Location: REMOTE (Open to Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver)
Duration: 1 year (possibility of extension)
Must have skills:
1. Expert in Excel / Google Spreadsheets
2. Data curation, record troubleshooting, relational data integration
3. Abstract thinking of data

Nice to have skills:
1. Experience working with HR systems / Payroll systems
2. Experience working with SuccessFactors or SAP
  • Data Migration: consists of 4 steps
    • Extraction – Data Migration Analyst (DMA) will support / be involved in the data mapping exercise (old field name = new field name). A third-party vendor will do the actual extract and send the DMA the files
    • Transformation – bulk of the work the DMA will be doing on the project; includes comparing, combining, cleaning and standardizing the format of the data prior to load
    • Loading – most done by service implementation partner; UAT and production loads may be done by DMA
    • Validation – some DMA involvement but mostly completed by SMEs who will collaborate with DMA
  • Assist PM and Technical Lead to manage the data migration process and schedule
  • Perform source system (SAP HCM) data analysis in order to manage source to target (SuccessFactors Employee Central) data mapping; including data validation and cleansing activities
  • Perform migration and testing of static data and transaction data from SAP to SuccessFactors
  • Perform data migration audit, reconciliation and exception reporting to ensure quality of migrated data
Project Background: Migration from our legacy on-premise SAP HCM (core HR, time and payroll) system to the SuccessFactors Employee Central, Time and Payroll solution. This is not a ‘lift-and-shift” project but rather a transformation to streamline, simplify and adopt standard processes for an improved user experiences and reduced cost to support. The project will need to migrate all current year employee, time and payroll year-to-date data, as well as certain historical data.
