Our valued client is looking for an Int Project Coordinator for an initial 1 year contract in Ottawa!- on site requirement 

Under the overall direction of the Manager, Delivery Management of the Portfolio Delivery Group (PDG), the resource shall be responsible for the following activities:

  • Assist the Project Manager and Stream Leads in maintaining the project schedule and logs.
  • Assist the Project Manager with budget tracking, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Collect and validate status information from the different Stream Leads and compile Project Status Reports.
  •  Work with the Project Manager to collect, organize and report on key projectmetrics and dashboards.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze project data from a variety of sources to identifyissues and/or risks, and establish recommendations to mitigate or correct them.
  • Maintain project management tools including Microsoft Project and others.
  • Maintain the SharePoint project collaboration site, including useraccess/permissions, team calendar, deliverables log, issue log, risk log, action log,document libraries, etc.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Stream Leads and provide project managementprocess and tooling support.
  • Support continuous process improvement and project governance.
  • Record and issue meeting minutes, action items and decisions.
  • Create and deliver presentations/reports to the Project Manager and project team.
  • Plan and coordinate project activities and events.
  • Ensure compliance with the clients Program & Project Delivery Methodology.
  • Assist the Project Manager in other project related activities as required
Must Have Skills:
  • 3+ years experience as a Project Coordinator providing project management support, including
    • Project financial tracking, updating, and reporting.
    • Project schedule maintenance and reporting.
    • Project status reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Understanding of project management principles and best practices; holding a PMP certification is an asset.
  • Manage internal and external partners and vendors.
  • Risk, financial, and schedule management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), MS Teams, SharePoint, and MS Project.
