Int. Project Manager to support an Ongoing Technical Debt Reduction Initiative

Our valued public sector client is seeking a Int. Project Manager to support an Ongoing Technical Debt Reduction Initiative.

As a response to increased demand and client expectations, the client is undertaking a Digital Transformation that will fundamentally alter how they achieve their mission for Canada through the Digital Platform Modernization program. The three phased program (Stabilize, Standardize and Enhance) focuses immediately on the first two phases (Stabilize and Standardize); stabilizing the existing IT environment and addressing technical debt that has accumulated over many years. This imperative was further exacerbated by COVID-19, which significantly increased the demand for online services.



Tasks:

• Support the development and ongoing management of a project plan, detailing the tasks needed to achieve milestones, roles and responsibilities 
• Provide day-to-day operational Project Management support to individual initiatives and sub-projects of varying sizes, scopes and complexity.
• Develop, maintain and publish user and support documentation associated with the project IT solution
• Developing a project charter, including project objectives, scope, high level milestones and roles and responsibilities. 
• Develop/maintain schedules, action items, and issues related to project control
• Track and manage project change requests; coordinate client acceptance
