On behalf of our valued public sector client, S.i. Systems is seeking an Interim CIO to lead a business transformation project to set-up a new Crown Corporation. 

JOB OVERVIEW

To provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology solutions and initiatives that improve cost effectiveness, service quality and access to services.
 
SCOPE
The primary scope of deliverables for the interim CIO would be:
  • Provide insights and authoritative recommendations to executive on a new CIO organization in the Crown Agency organizational design, including specific roles and associated job profiles.
  • In collaboration with current IT leadership team, develop and implement a transition plan to move from current IM/IT structure to the new structure effectively and efficiently.
  • In consultation with business leaders, develop a high-level IM/IT vision, roadmap, strategy and detailed implementation plan that establishes a strong foundation for moving forward as a Crown Agency.
  • Provide leadership support for the Core Regulatory Suite project currently underway.
  • Define appropriate scope for an Enterprise Information Management framework, including the development of a detailed implementation plan.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory:
  • 15 years of senior information technology leadership experience, including leading IT organizational transformation through significant change initiatives.
  • Broad knowledge of the information management/information technology landscape, trends and issues, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with strategic planning, road-mapping and business transformation in a technology-dependent business.
  • Experience leading, developing and implementing information management and information technology policies, programs and projects, including data security and data privacy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people including the ability to relay complex and technical information in a clear and easily understood manner.
  • Provides authoritative advice and recommendations to the executive regarding technology, issues and strategies relating to the business needs and critical success factors for the company.
 
Preferred:
  • Senior information technology leadership experience in a public sector or regulatory environment.
  • Experience leading complex technology transformation/implementation projects.
  • Experience with Senior Executives incorporating IT strategies into a broader organization strategic plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cultural transformation in partnership with other senior leaders in the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with risk management frameworks, including the identification and assessment of technology related risks (eg: cybersecurity) with Risk Management approaches and topics.
  • Demonstrated skills in change and resource management.
