Intermediate Azure/Windows Systems Solution Designer to build solutions in a large and complex enterprise Azure/VMware environment

Our enterprise oil and gas client is seeking an Intermediate Azure/Windows Systems Solution Designer to build solutions in a large and complex enterprise Azure/VMware environment

Must-have:

• 5+ years of progressively senior Windows Systems Administration experience that involved exposure to grasp a good understanding of:
  • VMware
  • Load balancers
  • Microsoft clustering technology
  • High availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR)
• 2-3+ years of experience building, designing and deploying solutions and troubleshooting your own builds 
• Either a certification or hands-on experience with Azure cloud
• Good understanding of AVS (Azure VMWare Solution)
• Good understanding of networking including Subnet, VNET, DNS, and RBAC

Nice-to-Have: 

• Linux Systems experience
• Experience in large environments
• Experience in automation using any of the following: Ansible, Terraform, Azure ARM & Azure Automation

Duration: ASAP until at least Dec 31, 2022 with very high chance of extension. We have had several long-term contractors at this client and they always typically have contracts ending in December, but are then renewed based on positive performance 

Location: Preferred location is Calgary as this client is hybrid in the office 3 days a week. For the right candidate outside of Calgary, they are open to hiring someone 100% remote.
