Intermediate (bilingual) Technical Writer to

Our valued public sector client is looking for an Intermediate (bilingual) technical writer to author and edit technical documents to support the rollout of M365.

This work is in support of the Digital Workplace Programme (DWP), which is to advance Digital Government (cloud), while providing greater flexibility in where and how employees work.


Tasks include:

• Provide various reports, plans, work breakdown structures, schedules and other related documents
• Prepare, edit, author, co-author, summarize or repurpose technical documents such as user guides, one-pager references, Teams channel announcements, draft communiques, web pages, web sites, infographics, forms and surveys to support the rollout of M365 to the department
• Work with many stakeholders such as Communications, Project Sponsor, Accessibility Subject Matter Expert (SME), Technical Team, Operations and Project Team, but will report progress directly to the Project Team
• Confirm adherence to current Accessibility standards Communication/Canadian Style Guide adherence
• Coordinate approval, submission, distribution of drafts in an effort get input from a number of stakeholders within the department

Must have:

• Bilingualism (English/French)
• 5 years experience writing and editing technical documents

Nice to have:

• A University degree, or
• A college diploma in an IT or technology discipline
