Intermediate Solutions Architect to deliver high quality solutions delivered on cloud, private cloud, hybrid, and hosted environments

The Intermediate Solutions Architect supports a variety of applications, services, and systems including creating new application services and adapting existing ones to expand functionality as well as providing application support and maintenance support.

The role:
 
Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of service solution platforms, configurations, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure environments.  
• Maintains existing and proposed solution architectures and infrastructure delivery models and documents.  
• Manages system configurations and participates in infrastructure design, change, and maintenance to assure effective, reliable, and secure delivery of services. 
• Maintains development operations automation and manages Ci/Cd pipelines for development, test, and production service environments  

Must haves:

• 7+ years’ experience experience with strong knowledge technical solutions, ensuring the design, development, implementation, and management of distributed applications, databases, and networks is required
• Base level experience with architectural patterns multitier, microservices, message oriented, or SOA architectures.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL environments 
• Experienced in Ci/Cd tools, Agile management tools: Eg: Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Github, Jira, MS DevOps, Confluence, MS Sharepoint, etc 
• Experienced in object-oriented, UML, network, and system modeling using Visio or other tools 
• Experience delivering distributed application services via cloud or hosted infrastructure 
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and system administration 
• Experience with container-based orchestration such as Kubernetes 
• Experience with DevOps principles, processes and tools including IaC, configuration management, CI/CD and orchestration as well as experience in Agile development and continuous delivery environments 
• AWS, Azure, or google certifications or other external, industry-recognized architectural certifications is an asset 

Nice to haves:

• Experience working with or for solutions integrators is an asset 
• Experience working in a government environment and in the health industry preferred.
• AWS, Azure, or google certifications or other external, industry-recognized architectural certifications is an asset 
• Systems administration experience is an asset
