Jr UX Designer to support optimizations, campaign initiatives, feature functionality and customer experience enhancements on customer facing website – 2475

Location: Toronto (REMOTE)
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
This is a part time role - approx 20hrs a week

 
Responsibilities Include:

• Digital design practice
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, internal teams and external agencies to ensure UX/UI design solutions deliver on business objectives
• Ensure a high level of execution consistent with design and brand standards
• Maintain knowledge of latest design and user experience best practices
• Establish, document and enforce design standards, patterns and process
• Effectively advocate for the importance of UX/UI to achieve business objectives
• Define the operational needs within UX/UI and advocate for solutions and resolution
UX and UI research
• Collect/source and analyze data to inform design solutions and provide data-informed insights to improve existing experiences
• Advocate research findings through reports and presentations
Delivery
• Communicate design concepts and rationale to the project team and business stakeholders
• Develop design artifacts to support project delivery

Your skills/experience
• Degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience, with portfolio
• Cumulative 3-5 years design experience with 2-3 years in a digital environment
• Experience uploading content with CMS systems 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of current technology, equipment and software (Sketch)
• Ability to work autonomously within an agile environment as part of a larger team, capable of self-directing and taking the initiative to drive towards outcomes
