Our financial sector client is looking for a Junior Operations Specialist to process mutual funds via the R-Broker (RPM) System. -39647
6 Months to Begin (potential to extend another 6 months or flip to Permanent role).On-Site.

Must Have:
- 3+ years experience within a financial institution
- Proven experience with Rules, Policies and By-Laws of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) and Securities Regulators
- RSP season. Someone who understands the volume & work to be done (cheques, transfer volumes are high, mutual fund, deposit broker, TIC work).
- Knowledge of Canadian Registered Products (RRSP, RESP, TFSA, Mutual Funds, etc.).
- Financial background.
- Canadian Securities Course or IFIC
- Experience Processing Mutual Funds via the R-Broker (RPM) system
- Product knowledge of Mutual Fund settlements processing, PAC/SWP/Sweep setup and maintenance, Internal & External Transfers, Cash and Reinvested dividend processing, Non-Financial updates
- Excellent MS Excel skills
Responsibilities:
- Work along with existing Wealth Operations team to support processing of transactions for financial instituion and Mutual funds supporting all branches across Canada
- Reconcile and balance accounts, verify accuracy of computation and resolve discrepancies
- Operate various office and/or mechanical equipment including personal computer, copiers, etc… as required, to complete duties in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain appropriate records of activities and statistics; prepare daily worksheets and reports as necessary
- Apply compliance; internal and operational risk controls in accordance with financial insitution and/or regulatory standards and policies; report issues and operational loss events
