Our Vancouver Utilities client is seeking a Senior CPC Contracts Lead within the Program and Contract Management (PCM) team to support asset replacement and maintenance initiatives. - 16430 - REMOTE

6 months contract, strong possibility of extensions; 100% remote work. PST Timezone preferred.

Must Have:
  • Knowledge of CPC (Communication and Protection Control) work
  • Experience managing Contracts (post-award)
  • Experience and knowledge in Utilities (Substations, Generating Stations and Telecomm sites)
  • Professional Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) with 4 years management experience or an equivalent combination of less formal education with more training and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of operations and maintenance of a station, policies, procedures, practices and safety standards.
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) required.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience working as a CPC technologist
  • P. Eng designation / electrical engineer
  • Experience managing and leading CPC technologist work
  • Work Plan Development
    • Building a detailed work plan/history for external uncommitted and committed CPC Tech (Communication, Protection, and Control Technologists) work which will include basic tracking of progress and demand for CPC resources
    • Assisting with tracking of internal versus external work volumes assigned by region and determining equivalent total Full-time Equivalent based on evaluation of Invoiced work
  • Availability/Competency Tracking
    • Updating and tracking of Full-time Equivalent Resources of CPC Labour Suppliers by quarter. Communicate the ratios for the availability of unassigned resources versus work allocated resources, including building work compatibility: competency matrix, based on performance evaluation, work history from the work plan. Support Work unitization matrix/tool to simplify identification and application of unit scope matching and identification to allow easier identification and selection to appropriate work scope
    • Analysis of vendor localization by region, to assist with Mob/De-mob cost modifiers/predictors for future work assignments
  • Contract Representative Duties
    • Support and assist the intent of the category strategy for CPC Contracting and ensure contract management plans are being met
  • Access request processing (Physical access, TCA access, NERC Site permissions and SureSite, Safety Authorizations, IT, Digital & LAN access permissions, etc.)
  • CPC Contractor Phone Support (FAQs, complaint Hotline)
