Our valued public sector client is seeking a (Part Time) Senior Business Analyst to support the Development of an Enterprise Wide Digital Solution.

The request is for additional support with the delivery of Departmental priority projects, specifically supporting the development of a digital solution to capture and manage client requests across the Client Portfolio Management (CPM) division’s business units.

Tasks (Including but not limited to):
  • Identify, articulate and plan business analysis activities and deliverables, guiding the project team and stakeholders to complete requirements gathering and analysis activities;
  • Identify gaps, constraints and/or assumptions in business, functional and/or data requirements and work with project team and stakeholders to address;
  • Create and update Business Requirements and other documents such as processes, use cases, workflows, mock-ups, and business rules on an ongoing basis (Word/Excel/Visio/PowerPoint)
  • Model data-flows, workflows and processes using standard modeling techniques;
  • Plan and facilitate visioning exercises, requirements gathering workshops and reviews;
  • Evaluate and analyze information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.
  • Identify potential sources of data and develop data models to support general analysis and design;
  • Prepare business requirements documentation while using industry standard analysis and modeling techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule identification.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis of requirements to system functionality;
  • Reverse engineer existing system functionality to retroactively capture requirements;
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems.
  • Define and document interfaces of manual-to-automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems.
  • Create and maintain test cases to support functional unit and integration testing.
