Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support validating data needs within the financial industry.
Must haves:
The Business Analyst (BA) is a intermediate to advanced position in the Business Analysis Center of Expertise (COE) within Information Services. This position reports to the Senior Manager Business Analysis and Enterprise Content Management and is accountable to Product Owner(s), Business Owners, Project Managers, and/or Portfolio Owner(s) within the context of each initiative. The BA functions as a portfolio/relationship manager for Information Services (IS) and participates in strategic and tactical planning activities with business units to understand their vision and roadmap requirements.
This position requires proficient competency in all areas of business analysis techniques and disciplines. The BA is accountable for managing the delivery of BA Services on large or increasingly complex projects which are mostly cross-functional in nature. The BA must possess highly developed communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, change management and leadership skills; working closely with Project Manager resources to transform highly ambiguous environments with competing business priorities into a structured environment. The ability to think strategically, understand organizational implications and risks, and accelerate collaboration between business and technical resources for successful outcomes are key success traits for this role.
Must haves:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst with process modeling techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with all aspects of Requirements Management, with proven ability to oversee this process.
- Experience with data analytics supporting PowerBi or EDW
- Experience with Visio, Signavio or other modeling tools desirable
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma with Commerce, IT, Finance or Business Administration.
- Business Analysis Certificate provided by International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) endorsed education provider.
- Experience with SQL
- Certified Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation
- Financial sector experience (preferably in banking)
