This project within Compliance is part of a transformation initiative for Monitoring, for GBM and Treasury. The contractor would primarily help populate the inventory template to record specific information for monitoring activities that the bank’s first line of defense and compliance teams are engaged in. The contractor would perform this based on strong and thorough understanding of the regulatory and internal policy driven need to conduct monitoring, as well as the bank’s business unit structure and risk taxonomies. Additional tasks relevant to the Monitoring transformation initiative may also be assigned.

Typical Day in Role:
• Assist in the Compliance Transformation initiative for Monitoring for Global Banking & Markets (GBM) and Group Treasury (GT) by completing assigned compliance monitoring activity inventory
• The incumbent achieves the above through identifying required information: a) in relevant compliance procedures and other documents, and/or b) through discussions with monitoring activity owners from various first line of defense and Compliance units.
• Review relevant documents, engage relevant stakeholders to acquire necessary information, familiarize and reference GBM’s and GT’s global business unit structures and risk taxonomies, and effectively and accurately complete the monitoring activity inventory within project timeline. For any missing information (not in the documents but required in the template), the incumbent will need to go back to activity owners to discuss and get the necessary information.
• Provide timely and accurate guidance to stakeholders with regard to the initiative, the inventory template, and the underlying guiding documents. Provide effective challenge on the information received vis-à-vis what is required by the inventory template and the guiding documents.
• While the activity owners are ultimately responsible for the accuracy and completeness of template, the contractor will be assessed on how well, effective, and timely they complete the inventory template and related other tasks, and how they interact with the stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from various levels of seniority, functions, and locations (global) to ask the right questions to get the necessary information. The ability to summarize and articulate feedback from stakeholders in a succinct manner is required in this role.
