Our large energy client in Calgary is seeking a Senior Network Specialist (5+yrs) to support Cisco Firepower
Must-Have:
Contract Details: Starting ideally June 13, 2022 until December 31, 2022 with chance of extension.
The role would also require working after hours as an on-call resource 1 in every 14 weeks as the “prime” technical escalation point
Location: Must be near Calgary as this client is in office for 3/days a week
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of experience supporting/provisioning robust IT network-related solutions for large enterprises (LAN, WAN, and Data Centre)
- 5+ years’ experience with Cisco routed networks, utilizing common routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Experience designing and deploying Cisco firewall solutions and deploying secure tunneling protocols - ideally Firepower
- Experience with F5 Load Balancing
- WAN optimization technologies
- Scripting abilities to automate common network analysis – i.e. Perl/Python/Ansible
- A manufacturer certification in networking such as a CCNx, JNCIP-x or similar
- Cloud experience/knowledge
