Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Senior SAP Application/Software Architect to aid in a smooth transformation to the new SAP S/4HANA ERP solution.

Project Description:  
The DMSPR (Director Material Systems Plans and Requirements) acts as the central gateway for processing materiel acquisition and supports business requirements that are generated from deficiencies from the acquisitions. ERP  (DRMIS) capabilities are deliberately planned, sequenced, developed and implemented so that the material acquistion and support business realizes the benefits of digitization and Defence Supply Chain business processes are transformed accordingly to increase effectiveness (efficiency, agility, resilience). The SAP Architect will be conducting research on S/4HANA to make recommendations on which products will/should be required to satisfy DND's business requirements for the DRMIS (Defence Resource Management Information System) Modernization project.

Tasks preformed, but is not limited to the following:

• Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;
• Analyze the current SAP solutions environment to detect deficiencies and opportunities for simplification as part of developing future-state road maps;
• Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
• Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions, and monitor industry trends to ensure that design solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology;
• Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;
• Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, application sub-systems and maintains the data dictionary;
• Provide leadership and guidance to other solution architects where integration with SAP (DRMIS) is identified, ensuring the use of SAP best practices and standards. Facilitate interaction and collaboration between SAP (DRMIS) teams and other solution architects and development teams;
• Participate in the design of SAP (DRMIS) Solution Architecture components (future-state models, patterns and components) based on business requirements and information technology strategies;
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring and coaching other team members across multiple functional domains of user requirements in support of clients’ objectives (such as rationale, scope, cross-functional and non-functional requirements);
• Support the transition of multiple groups to a shared Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (inventory or assets or materiel management);
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, business analysts and functional specialists on architecture strategy, roadmaps, standards and governance;
• Assess the impact of new requirements on an existing SAP suite of complex applications;
• Present work for review in structured walkthrough presentations of application systems to/with DMSPR Project team members and business users during various stages of the system lifecycle process, when requested;
• Apply SAP leading practices to safeguard against solution designs that could negatively impact other business processes;
