Note about onsite work and vaccination policy:
Currently Hyrbid - Once staff are required to return to the office, resource may be required to work onsite. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as supported by the OPS COVID-19 Safe Workplace Directive effective on October 1, 2021. After completing the attestation, you must show proof of vaccination to the Hiring Manager. Beginning on a date to be determined by the Hiring Manager, FFS Consultants who are not vaccinated are required to complete regular rapid antigen testing every 48 hours and provide proof of the negative test results prior to entering the physical workplace. 

The Resource will enable the integration of new vendor cloud core services including integration with on-prem VMWare cloud.

Must haves:
Advanced/Expert VMware Data Center and/or Network Virtualization certification is required
VCAP or VCDX certified
Cloud Project experience

Nice to haves:
Previous Government experience 

Required Skill Set:
Facilitate infrastructure design via solutioning process including security gating
Strong conceptual and practical understanding of Networking (ACI) and VMware(NSX)
Building new infrastructure with automation as per design criteria
Cloud ExpertiseCloud technology integration (Automation, Orcestation, Network, Data, identity and services)
DevOps and service enablement's
Cloud Security
Cloud application design methodologies
Documenting cloud architecture and services
Cloud application design methodologies for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Hands on expertise with IaC
Proven hands on experience with on-prem cloud environments such as VMware, automation, patching and CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as code.
Extensive experience on networking design and implementation using SDN, Tenants and Micro Segmentation using VMware.
VCF deployment experience and federation. VMware Cloud Foundation experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The Resource works in partnership with Cloud Vendors, Corporate Services Procurement, Infrastructure, Network & Security Operations and Ministry application owners to:
Create and use automation to enable and integrate new on-prem and public cloud services and providers
Provide expertise for on-prem cloud services and improve/align them with new technology stacks and models
Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for cloud end-to-end architecture, including networking, provisioning, and management
Conduct migration of applications to on-prem or public cloud
Design, implementation and troubleshoot on-prem Cloud(VMware) and its networking using NSX and ACI
Integrate cloud hosting services with existing solutions including networking
Lead creation and automation for tenants on-prem and within Cloud
Assist in DevOps best practices and patterns
Integration and automation of operational models including patch management, reporting, service cards, intake models and billing/recovery mechanisms

 Solve any incidents and problems at complex levels 
 Assist Operational Teams and Clusters with day to day activities
The Resource will follow ITS processes and deliver Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) Enterprise Planning and Project delivery Services (EPPDS) design collateral for each of the projects, such collateral to include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Solution Blueprints and design canves
Contributions to related Change Request Quotes (CRQ)
Contributions to related Project Change Requests (PCR)

Project Information:

Title: GO-Cloud Vendor Onboarding

ITS designs and deploys cloud hosting services both on-prem and off-prem. These services support Digital Transformation and supports recommendations made in the Ernst & Young Line by Line review to find more efficient ways of delivering applications and the ongoing operational sustainment to improve citizen facing services.
ITS is looking to onboard new cloud services from the existing VOR and improve existing ones. A resources is needed to onboard, integrate and operationalize the IaaS/PaaS/Cloud Native Application Platform (CNAP) cloud vendors and their services onto ITS GoCLOUD platform.
The resource will be a key enabler for onboarding new cloud vendors including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS while improving current ones. The resource will also establish secure patterns, enable integration into other services including identity, network, logging and monitoring.
