Our valued public sector client is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to develop technical strategy for the client related to meeting its business requirements from a IT security, business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery planning (DRP) perspective.
Tasks will include but are not limited to:

- Develop a security strategy for the client to meet the business and application requirements;
- When requested, review Request for Change (RFC) and Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) submissions in accordance with the client processes;
- Support software/configuration changes and software configuration management for the clients internal group;
- Verify that security safeguards have been implemented for client applications.
- Review/Design and conduct a Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) that includes:
- The threats, both accidental and deliberate, to employees and assets; and
- Analysis of the consequences/impact of the potential threats, and evaluate the likelihood of occurrence. Identify level of risk to clients, and options for mitigation.
- Establish and oversee annual testing of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) strategies and disaster recovery plans including documenting reporting and tracking test results; and
- Summarize tasks’ progress.
- A recognized University Degree or College diploma in science, mathematics, engineering, or an IM/IT field.
- 10 + years’ experience designing configuring, integrating, and maintaining software systems with a large user base.
- Strong network security acumen and experience with risk impact assessments/SA&A
- Experience creating Business Impact Assessments and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
