Two rounds of interviews
  • In response to the rapidly changing payments landscape and the multiyear Payments Canada modernization initiative. Our clients resources are in year two of a multi-year project to move to a payments as a service model with their vendor. They are also intent upon streamlining the payments functions between the three Centrals. The goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, cost-effective, modernized payments processing infrastructure.

The Position
  • Working with a team of professionals from Business, IT and Operations, the Business Process Analyst (BPA) will help identify, optimize, and document future state processes that will be required to support and enable member transactions on the new payments platform. This will involve working with the Senior Business Analyst to understand critical future state processes, including dependencies on existing processes and interactions with 3rd parties. Working with vendors to understand process changes, remediate gaps, and create documentation – process flow diagrams.
Must haves:
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience as a Business analyst with extensive process analysis (map out future state) experience 
  • Cheque experience (i.e., cheque back-office processing, settlement, handling etc. – maybe someone with experience at Symcor
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Services; preference for candidates with experience in Bank or Credit Union back-office operations, clearing & settlement, and/or payments
  • Ability to prepare documentation, training material
  • Demonstrated experience working on mission-critical programs in large, matrixed organizations
Nice to haves:
  • Back-office operations, clearing & settlement, and/or payments
  • Lean Six Sigma experience (preference for Green Belt or above)
  • Experience with cloud-based and software-as-a-service enterprise solutions is considered an asset, as is experience with large scale, transformation change initiatives -nice to have IT  focused
