Contract: until March 31st 2023 (+ extension)
Location - Cambridge (4 days onsite with once a month travel to Woodstock)
Hours: 40 per week (some rotational out of office hours required)
 
Our Automotive manufacturing client is looking for a self driven senior software engineer to work on a variety of software systems supporting our production environment. As a senior software engineer consultant, you will be working through full software development cycles on creating new features in a variety of applications to support the shop floor.

Description
  • You will be working on systems involving measurement and vehicle data collection, AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) traffic control, and a variety of other data display and reporting systems.
  • You will be expected to visit the production floor as part of regular duties such as troubleshooting, deployments and training.  Additionally, you will be expected to participate in system engineering support for production during fixed support rotations including some server administration and troubleshooting tasks.
Must haves:
  • 5+ years of experience as a .NET Developer
  • Experience with WCF (or Web API), WPF and MVC
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular 2+
  • Data modelling, design and development experience (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS
 
Nice to Haves
  • CI/CD Concepts (Azure DevOps, Github Actions, etc)
  • .NET Core
  • Industrial Protocols (OPC, PLC, Modbus, RFID)
  • Message Bus (MSMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)
  • Power BI
  • Operating System Admin (Windows Server, REHL)
  • Machine Learning Concepts (Googe Colabs, Amazon Sagemaker, etc)
