Duties and Responsibilities or Job Functions
  • Continuously evaluate and manage technology platforms, toolsets and consulting and outsourcing arrangements
  • Determine cost-effective strategies to eliminate redundancies, inefficiencies, and lower costs while exceeding expectations from stakeholders and with due consideration to scalability, robustness, security, continuity of business and disaster recovery
  • Develop and maintain appropriate infrastructure and communications / collaboration domain strategies as well as product roadmaps / backlogs as required
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for all infrastructure related purchases and initiatives
  • Work with Technical Services leads to ensure that training and career plans for technical resources are supportive of the infrastructure and communications / collaboration domain strategic direction
  • Continuously evaluate all staff positions within Technical Services, responsibilities and individuals for appropriate performance, skills, potential for improvement and growth
  • Develop strategic plan for staffing changes, oversee the creation of training and personal development plans
  • Oversee current and anticipated projects to create, replace, enhance and/or modify technology platforms.  Ensure an appropriate level of reporting / visibility exists for these initiatives
  • Create and maintain appropriate Technical Services processes and standards and incorporate these within the larger system development lifecycle
  • Assist the CIO, IT Directors and other peers to contribute to the IT strategic planning function, establish best practices and processes and maintain IT to business alignment
Must Haves:
  • Considerable experience leading transformational change within technology organizations, and between IT and its business partners.  The breadth of this change experience should span people and process as well as technology, and be driven by a goal of Operational Excellence
  • Experience with tools like VMWare, Windows, Netapp, O365, Juniper, Palo Alto
  • Provides leadership regarding future network/telephony/data center/operations technology issues and opportunities by understanding industry trends and how the organization must be positioned to meet future opportunities. 
  • Solid knowledge of IT standards, process, infrastructure and systems
  • Successful past accountability for infrastructure and support organizations, including the management of successful implementation and integration projects
  • Experience in designing or redesigning IT operations processes for a complex, company that is constantly evolving; applying best practices, which produce enhanced operating results
  • Experience leveraging Cloud and SaaS platforms
  • Experience working with IT and business units to create and maintain long range technology plans / product roadmaps for IT infrastructure
  • Experience preparing and maintaining financial budgets for technology initiatives
  • Significant experience (7+ years) in a high-transaction, services-oriented, business with strong leadership experience in infrastructure management within a fast paced and dynamic company
