Location: WFH- Will move to a hybrid 1-2 days per week

Overview:
This is a senior Java developer role within Corporate Treasury Technology team. You will be responsible for delivering applications designed to resolve business system needs while working closely with various partners across IT. You will be involved in all aspects of the development and or maintenance process within a well-established team. The preferred candidate should have 10+ years of hands on strong development experience in core Java.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate design / implementation phases for projects, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues
· Participate in walkthrough reviews of technical specifications, programs and unit test plans
· Provide estimates on activities/ tasks required to perform design, coding and unit testing, improving accuracy over time
· Facilitate business meetings for technical design, problem solving and task implementation
· Support Deployment / Releases and provide resolutions to technical issues found in Production environment.
· Possible off-hours support for urgent technical issues
Must Haves:
• 7+ years of work experience as a Developer or Technical Systems Analyst
• 3+ years of work experience on Information Technology projects supporting an enterprise-wide environment
• Strong experience in Core Java, Spring, REST API, SQL, Junit testing and Shell scripting.
• Experience working with applications using Spring boot and micro services.
• the ability to include integration between servers and databases.
Nice to Have:
• Previous experience in Finance or FinTech
• Experience with Apache Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Hadoop
• Working knowledge of Confluence and/or Jira would be an asset.
• Experience in agile or design thinking methodologies
• Experience working with applications (and web applications) and UI skills such as Angular JS, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with SCM tools such as GitHub, Subversion, CA Harvest would be an asset.
• Experience working with DevOps pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy), continuous integration/delivery, automated testing (unit, functional, performance)
