Our valued client is currently seeking a Sr. Network Administrator to perform infrastructure development, deployment and configuration activities for an initial 6-month contract (with possibility of extension) that can be worked out of Ottawa or Toronto.
Job Description:
This individual will support Solution Architects in solution design efforts including analysis, design and infrastructure related applications (e.g. monitoring, scheduling, backups, etc.). In addition, they will participate in level 2 and 3 support activities in conjunction with application teams, partners and service providers.

This individual will support Solution Architects in solution design efforts including analysis, design and infrastructure related applications (e.g. monitoring, scheduling, backups, etc.). In addition, they will participate in level 2 and 3 support activities in conjunction with application teams, partners and service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) systems:
- Cabinet/nodes hardware, array modules, install/uninstall (decommission)
- Network configuration/support
- Service Connect configuration/support
- Sev3 – Sev2 incident management, first resource contact, monitoring, resolution.
- Sev1 incident management, first resource contact, escalation, support.
- Parts management, troubleshooting, diagnostic, onsite parts replacement.
- Onsite network support.
- 5 + years of experience as a Network Administrator
- Experience with enterprise WAN/LAN network design and security solutions, including firewalls, wireless and server management solutions
- Virtualization technologies experience
- Experience with solutions using enterprise class servers and enterprise class storage solutions (including backup and recovery)
- High-availability clusters experience
- Experience with datacenter networking technologies

- Teradata Networking and vendor support
