Project Description: 
Upgrade Island Health’s regional Medical Imaging Picture Archiving and Communications (PACS) infrastructure/servers, RedHat operating systems, Intelerad PACS software, and image archive.
 
Scope:
  • Development of a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan to guide technical planning, installation, and implementation (including automated system failover, image re-archiving, etc.).
  • Ensure that the PACS and any dependent add-on systems are integrated and supportable.
  • Ensure that all system integrations are up-to-date and stable (e.g. Cerner and RadNet, PowerScribe 360, SonoReview, and Provincial Diagnostic Imaging Viewer (PDIV).
  • Ensure that the infrastructure is aligned with Island Health Medical Imaging service needs, IMIT operations, vendor recommendations, and industry best practices.
  • Use of Island Health’s project management methodology (based on PMBOK) to manage the project.
Deliverables:
 
  • Project Charter/scoping document.
  • Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan (DRP/BCP).
  • Privacy Impact Assessment and Security Assessment
  • Detailed project plan that includes scope, resources, RACI, timeline, budget, risk and issue management.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates.
  • Development of a cutover/go-live plan with minimal downtime.
  • Completion of an Operational Level Agreement and support vendor discussions to update SLAs and contract amendments as needed.
Requirements:
  • 10 Years technical project management experience and PMO certification
  • Degree in Computer Systems and/or Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing technical projects
  • Imaging systems experience (e.g. PACS, RIS, etc.)
