Reporting to the Program Manager – Technology Alignment, the Senior Business Case Analyst is a key member of the Technology Alignment Infrastructure Program Team.  Their role is to prepare robust and succinct business cases targeted towards technology infrastructure delivery, justifying the necessary investment in infrastructure projects. 
 
Successful candidates will have proven professional experience in similar roles, and a strong desire to deliver highest-quality results in a demanding setting.  Applicants will have a history of writing business cases and proposals demonstrating technology investment projects are worthwhile, achievable, and deliver benefits to the funding organization and affected stakeholders.
 
Accountabilities:
 
  • Provide periodic status reporting on activities and tasks, risk, interdependencies and issues for presentation to senior executives, major stakeholders, and PQTO.
 
  • Preparation and presentation of decision-making material for PHSA and VCH governance.
   
  • Collaborate closely with PHSA technical, facility operations, and architecture teams.
 
  • Deliver quality documentation allowing for smooth execution of work, ensuring close observance of Technology Alignment and PQTO policies and processes.
 
  • Supporting project leaders when engaging with stakeholders in the development and presentation of business case content.
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Write business cases and project charters.
 
  • Identify the evidence and supporting information needed to support a solid business case for a range of projects of varying size and complexity.
 
  • Lead the planning, development and drafting of business cases, to tight deadlines, establishing convincing and compelling arguments that lead from evidence to informed recommendations.
 
  • Provide guidance and advice to project teams on the requirements and development of business cases.
 
  • Prepare materials and facilitate discussions and decisions at Governance Committee meetings.
 
  • Create and manage the development of business cases, ensuring clear and convincing rationales for business cases delivered to senior managers and project governance.
     
  • Liaise with vendors and manage vendor resources, where required, to support business case delivery.
 
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, working with them to anticipate and mitigate issues and delays.
 
  • Facilitates client engagement, supporting appropriate planning and communications.
 
  • Ensuring business cases are written with recipients in mind, ensuring technical terminology or content is translated into everyday language and the financial and commercial aspects of the project are clearly and concisely justified.
 
  • Supporting project managers to clearly demonstrate the cause and evidenced rationale behind any increases in costs during project delivery.
 
Must have requirements:

·         Minimum 6 years working as a senior business analyst, within an enterprise delivery organization. 
·         Minimum 4 years specifically producing business case content.
·         Experience working in highly structured PMO environments desired.
