Role Title: Downstream Remediation Lead
Work Location: Hybrid – CIBC Square
Duration: 1 year contract with likely extension for 1-2 years.

MUST HAVES:
•       Demonstrated experience in project leadership, executive communications and stakeholder management for complex programs and projects.  Have performed in a similar role (10-15 years). Must have project leadership experience at a Canadian Financial Institution, preferably a bank, testing leadership experience, as well as with Finance Transformation and implementation experience.  It is desirable for the resource to have project leadership implementation experience with SAP’s S/4 Hana solution. Must have delivered results in a matrix environment where they may not have direct influence on project resources. Must have previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships. Must have experience in integration projects and keen interest in transformation of complex business and technology architectures and high level design.
•       Strategic development & execution - Manage the day-to-day testing plan activities for highly complicated project(s), in an inter-related strategic program following Enterprise Program Management Office standards. For testing across the initiatives, initiate, plan, execute, control and close out with an emphasis on project inter-dependency management. Establish testing policies and procedures. Must ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time. 
•       Relationship management - Maintain relationships with the Business and Technology projects within the program and align on how to best support those needs. Establish and maintain stakeholder, client and senior management relationships. Mentor sponsors and senior management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•       Understand (mostly) the current state process and data flows from General Ledger to downstream systems
•       Evaluate and understand the linkages and flow from General Ledger to various downstream systems from a data and process perspective
•       Understanding of the overall solution architecture from a current state standpoint and weigh in the design flow for interim and future state
•       Lead the assessment of downstream systems implications due to the General Ledger change with various stakeholders from a process perspective Challenge what outputs (master data; balances; transaction activity) are truly required to downstream systems from General Ledger
•       Work closely with SAP General Ledger and reporting design leads in seeking opportunities where various analysis and reporting needs can be met from SAP ecosystem itself and downstream EUC solutions can be decommissioned i.e. General Ledger account analysis types systems; General Ledger type finance reporting etc.
•       Work closely with program and Workstream technical leadership to evaluate archiving strategy in case downstream process owners require data above and beyond 2 years as SAP General Ledger may not carry data beyond 2 years
•       Work closely with technical lead and downstream remediation workstream project manager ensuring an effective downstream remediation roadmap is laid out including downstream systems decommissioning strategy as appropriate
•       Responsible for the overall success of the function/ process area assigned to the workstream from a function, business, process and outcomes perspective.
•       Provide business, functional and supporting application technical knowledge (e.g. future state requirement, leading practices) Align with various stakeholders to ensure future process alignment
•       Provide project approach, planning and resourcing inputs
•       Lead analysis to develop recommendations and identify implications to support key decisions
•       Lead / oversee development of the required deliverables
•       Guide the functional / technical teams for the specific initiatives
•       Preview inputs to Initiative Project Managers in developing charters, scope, goals and deliverables
•       Provide inputs into and review Initiative status reporting. 
•       Provide inputs and guidance on key risks, issues and interdependencies
