Our valued public sector client is seeking a Sr. Health Care Tech Lead to support the solution design of future Health implementations including online refferals, eForms and document sharing/ EMR integrations in the new provider portal

Start Date (Estimate): ASAP
Term: 7.5 months (End date December 29th, 2023)
Location: Toronto - Hybrid (1 day/week onsite, flexible)


Must Haves:
  • 2+ years’ experience designing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ex. Epic, Cerner and Allscripts
  • 3+ years experience in cloud environments and integrations with Azure Cloud and cognitive services
  • 5+ Designing the architecture for Health Care solutions such as (Telehealth, Mobile Applications)
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards between different healthcare systems that exchange patient information.
  • Experience working with big data and analytics, as well as tools suchs as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of API integration frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in designing Microservices component & distributed system design

Nice to Have:
  • 2+ years’ development experience with GuideWire Claim Center 7 and Telus Health with relevant application design, development and testing experience

Job Description:

The Health Care Tech Lead is responsible for supporting the solution design of future Health implementations including online refferals, eForms and document sharing/ EMR integrations in the new provider portal. They will also be responsible for SAD Updates for new use cases and the documentation required for the Health Services business and ITC teams. The Tech Lead will liason with Enterprise Architecture, Shared Services, Vendor(s) (TBC) and IT security to ensure the solutions meets required standards and is documented according to client's ARC and ADA requirements.
  • Understand & validate the platform requirements
  • Design & architect the platform based on new requirements
  • Assure new platform design is in adherence with existing company standards
  • Design high level & low-level design diagram along with various other models
  • Design & document API contracts
  • Assure design documents is validated by all stakeholders within estimated timeline
  • Audit the services built after development
  • Consult various other in-house technology SME as needed
  • Define and document data schemas
  • Assure lead developer understand the design and architecture completely before handing it off for implementation
  • Creating architectures & designs for new solutions around existing and new problem space
  • Working closely with the IT security, and Enterprise Architect.
  • Defining solution architectures for components of the overall interoperability architecture
  • Assisting with the architecture, design, development, implementation and publication of provincial APIs
  • Assisting with the analysis of options for Provider Portal
  • Assisting with determining the approach to patient summary sharing/access
  • Providing support for solution component procurements, where required, including documenting technical requirements and evaluating proposed solutions
  • Recommend architectural solutions that satisfy technical/functional requirements and align with the enterprise strategy.
  • Fully participate in weekly and ad hoc meetings to support timely provision of information related to design decisions, progress, status, issues, risks, and solutions related to project deliverables.
  • Lead meetings with subject matter experts with the goal of developing and validating current state and target architectures.
  • Creating and revising Solution Architectures including roadmaps and approaches to transition from current state architecture to planned future state architecture.
  • Collaborating with cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple organizations to complete assigned tasks and deliverables.
