The Cloud Engineer will play a leading role as prime for one of the platforms (Unified Git Lab, Ansible Tower, Artifactorty). He / She will work collaboratively with the other senior team members, product owners, user community and other stakeholders to identify requirements, develop, operationalize, and support platforms. 
Role and  responsibilities
  • Identify requirements, Create roadmap, develop, test and deploy new features within the identified platform / tool / technology
  • Maintain all platforms and processes including network impact analysis, software upgrade, validation and production cutover
  • Support administration role with the potential of some development responsibilities on small software upgrades, minor enhancements and/or bug fixes collaborating with the Infrastructure teams
  • Ensure all system issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Create and follow up on vendor’s incident tickets resolution
  • Keep management, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, status, changes, etc. using proper notifications mechanism.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and available to work off-hours and weekends.
  • Understand and support all aspects of platform / tool delivery life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment and Day2.
  • Coordinate the necessary operations documentation and standards required for compliance and identified best practices.
  • Perform all software upgrades and patching collaborating with the necessary Infrastructure teams.
  • Onboard and assist tenants to use the tools following best practices
  • Provide work estimates as needed.
  • Develop standardized practices for delivering new products and capabilities
  • Create formal written deliverables and other documentation, and ensure designs, code, and documentation are align with enterprise direction, principles, and standards.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive and strategic business cases used at management and executive levels for funding and scoping decisions on Data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Performance tuning of tools, processes and applications
  • Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Continuous Integrations and Delivery (Git, Jenkins,  Ansible or other continuous integration tools) 
  • 5+ years of expertise in configuration scripting languages (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar)
  • Certified and in good standing of AWS, Azure, Rethat or Google Cloud
  • Infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Expert knowledge of cloud service provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Good networking & troubleshooting knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of general Software Automation principles
  • Expertise in Containerization, Docker/K8S operation
  • 5+ years of experience in operational support of Linux OS.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with vendors, fellow employees, and management concerning major outages, critical issues, troubleshooting and support resolutions and STARS ( Steps To avoid Reocurrences).
  • Provide status to customers of assigned support tickets.
