Int. Deployment Specialist for network troubleshooting and implementation projects - 2729
Location: Ottawa ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 1yr contract (Possible extension)
Must Have:
1. IT/Telecom work experience
2. Knowledge of Microsoft office tools, like word, excel, PPT, Visio, etc.
3. Knowledge of IP network
4. Knowledge of basic setting of various switch, router, FW
5. Knowledge of data center construction, like cable tray, fiber raceway
6. Knowledge of Ethernet cable RJ45, 1G/10G fiber, 40G/100G fiber
7. Knowledge of cabling, Ethernet cable, fiber, power cable
8. Knowledge of cable, fiber testing
9. Knowledge of Vertiv DC power supply system
10. Hands-on skills of Ethernet cable cabling, wiring, testing
11. Hands-on skills of CISCO switch installation, power supply installation
12. Hands-on skills of fiber cabling and testing
13. Hands-on skills of the hardware/connectivity troubleshooting in the in-production network environment
Day to Day Activities:
Reviewing the BOQ or PO according to the hardware configuration
Create the SoW according to the project requirement
Manage the deliveries of all equipment
Verify all the packing list and generate the stock inventory list.
Installation Environment Checking for core switch system, generate the project kick off report.
Assistance and cooperation with engineering team for site survey and implementation plan
Create core deployment work plan
Reviewing and confirming the implementation design of each vendor.
Interconnection connectivity design for each vendor. Including copper and fiber
Managing the core network acceptance test procedures, generate project closing report
Collect and produce core network deployment approach documentation
Migration activities related to the core subsystems
Closing the life circle of core site deployment.
Evaluating sub-contractor's qualification of core switch installation
Troubleshooting on the network connectivity issues
