Location: Scarborough

This is an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst Enterprise Solutions Support to support our Information Services team. This is a Full-Time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions-Operations. The selected candidate will support requests from Internal business areas and will ensure that solutions that are being delivered are aligned with the overall Business and IS strategy.
  • The Functional Analyst, Enterprise Solutions will be the SharePoint and ServiceNow product specialist.
  • Review existing and emerging technologies and market trends to determine potential impact on the enterprise’s strategy and architecture; develop strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and business functions
  • Document and maintain up-to-date solution and application architectural design diagrams, conceptual models and workflows related to SharePoint and ServiceNow solutions.
  • Maintain product roadmap, application inventory and knowledge base for SharePoint and Service Now.
  • Identify, recommend and support application changes for SaaS solutions
  • Create and maintain product lifecycle, coordinate upgrades and maintenance releases
  • Consult with other IS teams in defining application support strategy for system deployment
  • Create training material and production documentation
  • Configure and administer SharePoint and ServiceNow applications as required
  • Provide support to the business users during weekly/monthly processes and provide application support as required
Application Design & Support
  • Support the dissemination and maturity of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)/Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes and deliverables
  • Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle including requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, configuration, development, testing and support
  • Execution of test strategy and coordinate System/Integration Testing
  • Provide sustainment support required to maintain and advance the use of platform
  • Create scope documents, write business requirement documents and document functional specifications
  • Interact with Systems Analyst/Programmers to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution development process
  • Facilitate project meeting to ensure that they do not diverge from established architecture guidelines
  • Provide consulting services for the maintenance, enhancement and troubleshooting of enterprise applications
  • Champion the proper use of tools, processes and standards by conducting education, application review and design sessions to reinforce skills and knowledge baseline
Stakeholder engagement
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work with business users to identify product improvement opportunities, plan medium and long-term enhancements and assist users in determining enhancement priorities
  • Conduct project review sessions and execute acceptance tests to ensure timely delivery initiatives
  • Coordinate with third party vendors to develop and/or integrate their applications into TCI’s solutions; ensure that applications are in accordance with company product standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with local and regional I.S. teams to deliver enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business needs
  • Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences

Must haves:
  • 1-2+ years acting as FA/BA/BSA, or similar roles
  • 1-2+ years proven experience performing functional analysis, configuring, and administering Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products & solutions
    • ​SharePoint and ServiceNow
  • Experience working directly with Application Managed Services Vendors
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, software specifications, conceptualization, modelling and design
  • Strong process improvement orientation, and experience in leading discussions to drive positive results amongst inter-disciplinary groups
Nice to have:
  • Experience with JavaScript and or other development languages
