Int. IT Security Analyst to implement security solutions for a VPN migration project for our large banking client - 28327

Location Address:
Hybrid - must be in office 1-2 times a week (Scarborough)
Contract Duration: End of March 2023
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday

The main function of an IT Security Analyst is to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information. A typical IT Security Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.

Business group: GIAM Logical Access Control
Project: VPN provisioning project. Project will migrate about 6,000 users over to new organizational unit (VPN profile).
Reason for request: Position required for new project launch.

Provisioning VPN
Token provisioning
Utilize troubleshooting skills to understand systems’ issues and the potential root causes
Demonstrate effective communication skills, and present improvement ideas up to Director level
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
Follow established processes

Must Have Skills:
  • 2-4 years experience as a IT Security Analyst required
  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security
  • Consistent implementation of security solutions
  • Experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing

Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel) for spreadsheet creation
  • Previous VPN provisioning experience

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills to keep up with fast-paced work environment and efficiently meet project targets

Degrees or certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
