Int. Java and JavaScript (Node.js) Developer to develop IoT solutions - 27163

Our valued client is currently seeking an Intermediate Java and JavaScript (Node.js) Developer to develop IoT solutions.

This is for an initial 3-month contract (with possibility of a 1-year extension) in Montreal or Toronto (hybrid remote).

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessment of Smart Building 3rd party vendor solutions
• Develop integration between 3rd party solution and internal applications and micro services
• Design, develop and integrate new IoT solutions and enhance existing products
• Collaborate with the business and partner vendors teams on technical requirements
• Provide DevOps support for delivered IoT solution

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years Java development experience 
• JavaScript (Node.js) development experience
• Hands-on experience designing REST APIs
• Experience with container visualization (Docker) and Kubernetes
• Understanding of microservice architecture

Nice to Have Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour Driven Development 
• Experience in Front-end development using Vue.JS or other Javascript framework
• Good understanding of NO SQL (MongoDB)
• Good understanding of Web Service Security & secure coding best practices
• Experience in developing IoT solutions
• Microsoft Azure Cloud experience
