Int. SEO Specialist to support Global Asset Management website for large banking client - 51220

Location: Downtown Toronto (on-site, potential for hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)
 
Job Description:
Our banking client's Global Asset Management (GAM) Team currently looking for a Specialist, in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to be a key member of the digital engagement team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Strategy and Engagement this role works closely with the in-house Digital team, SEO team, and other key partners. The goal of this position is to optimize existing foundation and maximize the inbound organic traffic from search engines to the group's website. This is accomplished through a combination of on-page and off-page techniques, including link-building, content strategy, metadata and schema sculpting, site speed optimization, information architecture, and more.
 
Responsibilities:
• Develop optimization strategies that increase the site's search engine results rankings
• Perform competitive market analytics and research SEO keywords to be used throughout the website
• Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, and identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI
• Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
• Create and execute link building strategy
• Collaborate, and communicate with other SEO & marketing professionals to align goals
• Make recommendations, and support content writers, and editors
• Audit and update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
 
Must Have Skills:

• 3 - 4 years of experience in a SEO role
• Digital marketing background
• Experience with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Search Engine Console, etc)
• Ability to work with back-end elements (.htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, etc)
• Understanding of Accessibility and its impact on SEO
• A firm understanding of mobile strategy and its relationship to SEO

 
Nice to Have Skills:

• Banking/Financial industry experience
• Specialized marketing courses
