Intermediate Business Analyst with Capital Markets experience to gather requirements for a Global Equity Derivatives project with one of our major banking clients-27583

Location Address: Hybrid (currently remote, may shift to 1-2x per week soon)- Toronto
Contract Duration: 6-month contract (Very High Chance of Extension)
Schedule Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Story Behind the Need:
  • Business group: GWRT - Derivatives and Structured Product Technology
  • Project: Modernization Project (from legacy applications to new singular platform). Building front to back system, covering settlements, confirmations, cash flows, mark to market, DVA, trade publishing, etc.
  • Structure Note Modernization Project. A Greenfield multi-year program to modernize and transform the Global Equity Derivatives and Structured Notes business technology footprint with full-stack, cloud hosted platforms to increase revenue opportunities and go-to-market velocity’s and go-to-market velocity.
Typical Day in Role:
  • Communicating with multiple stakeholders to aid in the implementation of the new Beacon platform being built.
  • Working with stakeholders across Canada and the US
  • Leverage knowledge of equity products to drive success of project
  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Work closely with stakeholders within all business functions to assess the current and future states, perform gap analyses, derive business requirements, and design solutions that meets business and regulatory needs.
  • Provides expert knowledge of cross-functional and business processes.
  • Provides support production issues
Must Have Skills:
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • 2+ years’ experience with equity products within capital markets (equity options, market linked GICs, auto callable notes)
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders (front to back office within capital markets: developers, traders, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Fixed income experience (cash flows, interest rate swaps)
  • Cloud experience is an asset
  • Ability to participate in programming or scripting
  • Experience with SQL and databases
  • Jira and Confluence experience
Degrees or Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, commerce, or related field required
