Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to utilize Power BI to support Data Warehousing projects within multiple databases (Ariba, Business Objects, Peoplesoft) for our public sector client (Req 276)

Our public sector client is seeking a Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to utilize Power BI to support Data Warehousing projects within multiple databases (Ariba, Business Objects, Peoplesoft) for our public sector client (Req 276)

Candidates must be in Calgary and willing to work a hybrid work model (2 days on site and 3 days working from home). 37.5 hour work week. 

Must haves: 

• 3+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence role with a focus on Power BI within multiple databases (Business Objects, Ariba, Peoplesoft)
• Experience with requirements gathering, data analysis and applying Data Modelling principles (Kimball Dimensional Modelling preferred) 
• Experience creating and maintaining semantic layers against Data Warehouses and application databases (creating and maintaining BusinessObjects Universes)

Nice to haves:

• Previous work experience in the pubic sector or large organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct data analysis, for market patterns, and trends with procurement data.
• Review and validate data to maintain and build dashboards.
• Collaborate regularly with various business units and staff, including different procurement teams.
• Report/present findings and data-driven recommendations to the leadership and management team.
• Support any data analytics requests from Supply Management
