Business Line: GBT Risk & Resiliency
Project: The Global Risk and Resiliency Technology team is looking for a Data Engineer/Analyst to collect requirements, create dashboards, make data models, present findings, identify risk metrics and write scripts automating manual procedures.
Typical Day in Role:
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
• Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
• Responsible for creating dashboards and identify trends within complex data sets
• Ability to interpret patterns and tell a story with the data
• Build relationships with other teams and stakeholders within the Bank
• Visualize and present findings to key stakeholders
• Gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Testing and UAT
Must-Have skills:
1. 3-5+ years of experience working within Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
2. 3-5+ years of experience with Power BI and SQL required for creating dashboards
3. 3-5+ years of experience with Python required for pipeline corrections and scripting
4. Previous experience and knowledge with ITIL
5. Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, 365
Nice to Have Skills:
• Working experience with Jira
• Understanding of data engineering concepts
• ITIL certification or any technology certification on business intelligence such as SQL and Python
• Ability to display complex information visually using charts, graphs, illustrations and text
• Git Repository, or Public BI portfolio
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience is an asset
Candidate Review & Selection:
• 1st round interview – 1 hour with Panel
• 2nd round interview – 1 hour with Panel
• Possibility of 3rd round interview
• An ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate an ability to display information visually and to share examples of their previous work
