Our national retail client is looking for an Intermediate Data warehouse developer to develop data models and datawarehouse transformations, using financial data sets (GL, profit/loss, forecasting and actual data) for the retail financial COE - 27095

Duration: 1 year

Location: Mississauga (only need to go onsite for important meetings)

Scope: The data warehouse developer will work alongside the Tableau development team and information technology teams to provide data related support, data sourcing, pipeline and data warehouse development. They will troubleshoot and investigate data anomalies and issues along with working directly with the reporting development teams to follow through and get the root issues resolved. This person will also assist in building predictive systems to help catch issues before they arise and assist in building and support financial reporting.

Must Haves:

• Data warehouse development for corporate finance data sets (financial management tools such as SAP, MFP, Essbase, one stream)
• Working with Financial data sets (GL, profit/loss, forecasting and sales actuals data)
• cloud data warehouse environment (Google Big Query)
• SQL development
• Data warehouse staging and transformation development
• Exposure to Github and airflow

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to reporting via Tableau/PowerBI would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various teams to onboard new data sets and develop required data engineering specifications
• Develop required pipelines and Data warehouse transformations based on Information Security and Data Governance requirements
• Collaborate with Tableau development team to design required data views within Google Big Query
• Develop data warehouse transformations within Google Big Query that meet or exceed performance and availability SLAs
• Create and document unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering build documents
• Develop automated services to monitor and alert on data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available
• Maintain and support our Google Cloud Services environment, Airflow, GitHub, CICD tools
