Our client is a leader in the digital hospitality and food services space. They are looking for an Intermediate DevOps Engineer with python, CDK, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes experience to migrate various infrastructure components from the existing AWS account into a central data repository. 

The Existing infrastructure - everything is on AWS, our client uses Airflow as an orchestrator, piping code from airflow into EMR and EKS and dumping into S3 using Iceberg data format- then pushing into snowflake.

Responsibilities:  
  • One of the key projects this person will be working on initially is the migration of various infrastructure components from the existing AWS account into a central repository. 
  • Developing numerous CDK scripts to migrate existing infrastructure over to the new accounts as well as coordination with Cybersecurity & Cloud Infrastructure team to work through security concerns and blockers.
  • Use AWS CDK, which is powered by AWS CloudFormation, to specify infrastructure in code and deploy it using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Our client has existing AWS accounts that will need to be migrated over to a corporate controlled AWS account.  This will involve developing various Azure DevOps Pipeline and Typescript CDK as well as a good understanding of cloud infrastructure
 
Must haves:   
  • Infrastructure as code (CDK preferred, but Terraform is acceptable) 
  • Development of AWS DevOps Pipeline 
  • Python programming
  • Docker, Kubernetes and building data pipelines.
  • Experience with networking in cloud -setting up VPC (virtual private cloud)
  • GIT REPO deployment - building CI/CD into AWS or GCP. 
 
Nice to have:  
  • AWS EMR using airflow, redshift
