Our valued client is looking for an Intermediate IT Administrator to support a decentralized IT Team for their web services and cloud based applications
 
Permanent opportunity in Ottawa, hybrid ( 2days / week onsite) 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide user support as part of a decentralized support team
  • Support web services and cloud-based applications at the direction of the team lead.
  • Remain current with industry trends, supporting the needs of the team to help the organization innovate and excel.
  • Support the administration monitoring, configuration, and further develop an internal, zero trust-based public cloud infrastructure, in line with all business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IT Cloud Administrator to maintain and progress the organization’s IT strategies, policies, processes, and practices.
  • Support the implementation, maintaining, and progress solutions and applications in cloud and on-premise infrastructures
  • Support the building and configuration of web services and cloud-based applications in accordance company’s security needs.
  • Administer, secure, maintain, upgrade, and backup remaining on-site laptops and desktop computers, accessories, and phones, and provide user support as necessary.
  • Assist in dealing with vendors for Hardware/Software licensing and subscriptions.

Must Have Skills:
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an IT Administrator 
  • Experience in a helpdesk environment
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure
 
Nice to have Skills:
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of infrastructure and network technologies (Switches, VPNs, Access Points, servers, visualization, networking, end-user computing, etc.)
  • Microsoft 365 or Azure certificate
