Our public sector clent is looking for an Infrastructure Analyst/Technical Writer to assess the current state of
procedural documentation in the Technology Services team, and work with team leaders and staff
members to update, standardize, improve, and create such documents, as required.

  • Consult with the director and managers to identify areas of priority
  • Conduct interviews with managers and staff to collect needed information for the documentation
  • Consult with the managers and director on a structure for the documentation
  • Write documentation based on interviews and review of existing documentation:
  • Step-by-step written procedures
  • Step-by-step written procedures with images, as necessary
  • Swimlane flowchart procedures where appropriate or requested
Ideal candidates must-have:
  • Minimum 5 years in roles administering infrastructure and that require written technical
  • documentation
  • A recognized degree or certificate in Business Administration, Computer Science or MIS.
  • Experience with structure and organization of technical document repositories
  • Experience in collaborating with teams to write procedural documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deals comfortably with senior management and can present and converse with people in
  • positions of authority.
  • Good judgment and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum
  • course of action.
  • Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated,
  • and driven to succeed.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical procedural documentation
  • Experience working for public sector or non-profit agencies is an asset.
