Intermediate Project Manager to expand and enhance the digital channels for Caribbean and LATAM banking for a large banking client - 28287

Location Address: Hybrid – Downtown Toronto – expected to attend events 1/month but requirement to coming into office may increase in coming months to 1/week
Contract Duration: 6 month

Business group: Enterprise Digital Banking Technology – manages digital channels for CCAU countries, managing offerings for mobile banking for Caribbean and LATAM banking. There are always projects to expand and enhance the digital channels.
Project: One Bank Project - focused on delivering customer self-onboarding capabilities – currently in Discovery phase.

Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in the Digital Factory environment, working with senior and international stakeholders in one of the big 5 Canadian banks, on a team that sits across multiple regions.

Typical Day in Role:
• Ensure the project is being delivered based on a plan which is already in place, working with other teams (development, engineering teams) to ensure all is in line and there are no blockers that will impact the team
• Align communication plans, marketing communications and ensure they are delivered in timely manner
• Providing bi-weekly, weekly and monthly status update to senior management and teams (creating presentation and putting together the dashboard for those meetings)
• Align to enterprise delivery framework to ensure each release has the correct security documentation provided – attending reviews and gathering approvals to ensure operational readiness
• Measured against whether escalations are within timeframes
• Work with managers on the team but won’t be managing them – work with scrum master, development manager
• Check on input with project controller and on financial status – reporting to finance as another dependency for the project - collecting estimates but not managing budget

Must Have Skills:
1) 5-7 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably within banking
2) 3+ years’ experience working in an Agile environment
3) 3+ years’ experience managing complex projects within the IT space, preferably in software delivery and customer facing solutions

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Bilingual in Spanish
2) Digital Banking experience
3) PMI or PMP certification preferred
4) ScrumMaster certification preferred

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred
• PMI or PMP certification preferred
• ScrumMaster certification preferred
