Our valued public sector client is looking for an intermediate Records Manager to develop processes aligned with IM requirements for the delivery of future paper services.

Work will be split between at-home and on-site at Place du Portage.

Tasks include:
  • Review and classify information while coordinating with clients/stakeholders on disposition processes (retention periods, lifecycle management, GCDocs structure etc.)
  • Build solid and efficient processes, provide analytical solutions to facilitate transfer of information from department facility to third party storage
  • Create a solution to manage / track transfer of assets;
  • Ensure a comprehensive and sustainable bilingual structure in GCdocs is created to maintain Information Resources of Business Value (IRBV) / Physical holdings located at third party storage;
  • Develop bilingual templates, forms and reference guide related to IM services for Branch Information Management Specialist (BRIM) and clients
  • Ensure processes are in place for clients and IM community to enhance client services
  • Ensure procedures adapts to the department's IM requirements;
  • Ensure that all information assets are documents and identified and an inventories have been created
  • Ensure that all Library and Archives Retention Disposition Authority (RDA)’s are organized and documents to facilitate disposition
  • Capture all pertinent documentation in the official document repository (GCdocs)
  • Create a disposition calendar and organize all LAC RDA’s
  • Develop process to properly and efficiently document assets in a new Records Management System transferred to third party services;
  • Develop sustainable procedures adapted to the department's IM requirements;
  • Provide statistic reports on disposition and assessments
Must have:
  • Reliability (or higher) clearance with the federal government

Nice to have:
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred, but not required
