Location Address: Hybrid (mostly remote but will be required to come in on an adhoc basis for team meetings) - Scarborough

Contract Duration: 12 months

Scheduled Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Story Behind the Need:

• Bank’s Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) - Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) manages the development, execution and performance of GTEP’s strategy and roadmap. We ensure a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure and service delivery, that protects the customer experience and supports business growth. We lead efforts around performance, optimization and innovation, best practice portfolio management, GTEP financial management and transparency, and GTEP employee experience excellence.
• The Technology Program Office reports into the SPO and is responsible for the delivery of GTEP Strategic Initiatives. This includes Project/Program Management, Project Life-Cycle Planning, KPI Reporting and Benefits Realization. We provide an end-to-end view of all Global Strategic Programs and liaise with key IT Corporate Functions. Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the Technical Lead will be leading the upgrade and remediation of core technologies within the Bank.

Typical Day in Role:

• Leading application teams to deliver solutions
• Developing functional and technical documents
• Creating and executing implementation plans
• Working with technical team members within matrix environments and communicating with stakeholders on an Executive level
• Working on project end-to-end to define procedure/processes and push changes through delivery

Must-Have skills:

• 5-7+ years of technical experience as a Solutions Architect/Tech Lead, proven experience with delivery technical solutions
• Excellent understanding of various protocols, scripting and programming (no specific programming language required)
• 5-7+ years of experience with designing system, network, and application architectures; both cloud and hybrid technologies
• 5-7+ years of experience performing impact analysis and identify system interdependencies
• 5-7+ years of Project Management experience working with high scale, enterprise-wide projects – the candidate must have the ability to drive solution and delivery of project

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Working in enterprise environments
• Previous exposure to the banking industry/financial services is preferred
• Working experience with MS Excel
• PMP Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish

Education:

• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
• Certified Network Technician

Candidate Review & Selection

• One round video interview with Director and Program Manager (30 minutes)
• Possibility for a second round interview
• Interview will cover both technical skills and soft skills (assess communication and problem solving skills)
