Intermediate Systems Analyst for AVEVA PI development, administration and support

Our large energy client is seeking an employee to join their team as an Intermediate Systems Analyst for AVEVA PI development, administration and support.

This position is based in Calgary with 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week remote.

Must Have:

• 4+ years of IT professional experience
• 2+ years of experience managing and developing PI systems (AVEVA/OSISoft)
• Post-secondary degree or technical certificate in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology
• Strong Knowledge of PI System architecture and data flow including updating and load balancing
• Knowledge of at least one of the following: PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Interface, PI Vision configurations
• Understanding of SQL and general database concepts/ management systems (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Ability to work outside of regular business hours in support of operational changes and issues (1-2 times max per week)

Nice-to-Have:

• Past experience with PI implementation projects in the Oil & Gas industry
• A background in Oil and Gas operations
• Detailed knowledge of the following systems: Seeq, Maximo, SCADA, PVR, Value Navigator, Harmony
• Experience building Microsoft Power BI visualizations for end users

Role Overview:

• Coordinate and support the design and continuous improvement of the PI system
• Provide development and enhancements to PI Vision screens and PI AF
• Provide management and oversight of a PI System Integrator by managing issues/cases in an agile issue tracking system; working with stakeholders to determine overall priority of PI related tasks; monitoring and managing the health and overall performance of our PI system; and managing progress on development items while providing timely status updates to all stakeholders
• Develop, maintain and support integrations between PI and other 3rd party systems
• Develop and maintain system documentation, PI governance structure and templates
• Manage and coordinate system upgrades / new releases and troubleshoot issues
